Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Northbrook, IL is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our Corporate team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will mainly handle purchasing orders, data entry, and support the overall accounting function.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting, an associates or bachelor's degree in accounting, and solid knowledge of GL, month-end close, and journal entries. Proficiency in Excel is essential, with multitasking ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an Accounting position.
• Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of foundational accounting concepts.
• Experience with GL accounts, month end close, and journal entries.
• Familiar with Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general accounting tasks, including purchase order reconciliation and other ad hoc projects
• Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
• Assist with GL accounts, month end close, and journal entries
• Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
• Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as‑needs basis
• Additional duties as assigned

Position Summary:

• Location: Northbrook, IL
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday on-site.
• Compensation: $23.00-$27.00 per hour.
