Job summary

Kelly is seeking an Accounting Clerk in Memphis to handle AP, AR, GL, and treasury tasks in a manufacturing setting. You will follow US GAAP and IFRS, support ERP data management, and assist with financial statements and cash flow analyses. The role emphasizes accuracy, process discipline, and collaboration with suppliers and team members.

You may work with SAP FICO and ERP tools, develop accounting skills, and contribute to policy improvements within a supportive finance group.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, OR a 2-year degree with 2 years of accounting or related experience.
• Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, and strong Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP FICO or ERP systems is preferred, manufacturing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting tasks including AP, AR, GL, and Treasury following US GAAP and IFRS.
• Process AP invoices from domestic and foreign suppliers with 3-way matching.
• Utilize ERP systems for AP data management, balance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and analyses such as balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Support compliance with sales/use tax and other filings, plus document control and audits.

What’s a typical day as an Accounting Clerk? You’ll be:

• Performing general accounting tasks, including AP, AR, GL, and Treasury, while following US GAAP, IFRS, and corporate policies
• Processing all types of AP invoices—inventory and service purchases from domestic and foreign suppliers
• Verifying invoice details, ensuring 3‑way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and goods received
• Utilizing ERP systems for AP data management, outstanding balance analysis, and cash flow forecasting
• Supporting financial statement preparation and analysis, including balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Developing knowledge of external compliance, such as sales/use tax and other business filings
• Performing various administrative duties, including reporting, audits, inventory counts, and document control
• Supporting initiatives to improve company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive and professional image for the Accounting Department

This Job Might Be An Outstanding Fit If You

• Have a 4-year college degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, OR a 2-year degree with 2 years of accounting or related experience
• Possess an understanding of US GAAP & IFRS
• Have developed Excel skills (required); experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Bring accounting experience in a manufacturing plant (preferred but not required)
• Demonstrate strong organizational and deadline management abilities, especially in a fast‑paced environment
• Excel at building trustworthy, cooperative relationships with suppliers, customers, and team members
