Base pay range

$45,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Job Description – Accounting Clerk

Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of an operating unit, including posting entries. Responds to inquiries and contacts other departments and/or vendors to resolve issues. Assists in performing various clerical duties.

Associated Tasks:
  • Verify and post details about business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and update ledgers and databases.
  • Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, and filing.
  • Maintain in-house files, ensuring records are complete and current.
  • Record information, process, and file forms.
  • Analyze information from data received via mail.
  • Abide by all company procedures and accounting principles.
  • Respond appropriately to vendor, client, and internal requests.
  • Match, batch, and code vendor invoices.
Requirements: Experience/Skills
  • Knowledge of basic financial and accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for learning new systems and office productivity tools.
Training/Education
  • High School diploma is required; additional education and experience are preferred.
  • One or two years of clerical accounting experience.
