Job summary

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) seeks an experienced instructor to develop and teach Accounting Principles and related certificate courses. The role combines online and prerecorded lectures to help students achieve Learning Outcomes.

The incumbent must be a credible domain expert, collaborate with staff and instructional designers, and focus on student progress. This is a by-agreement, part-time appointment with compensation per course.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields; professional experience may substitute.
• 5+ years’ direct accounting experience in financial accounting, government/nonprofit accounting, and ethics/regulatory frameworks; CPA preferred.
• Strong communication skills for diverse student populations.
• Two+ years teaching or training professionals.

Responsibilities

• Teach to Learning Outcomes across online and prerecorded lectures.
• Collaborate with CPE staff and learning experience designers to develop courses.
• Deliver instruction with student progress and outcomes as primary focus.
