Panther Residential Management is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Associate in Woburn, MA to support the corporate accounting team with accounts payable, general ledger tasks, and admin duties. Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or similar financial experience
  • Strong accounts payable skills and experience maintaining accurate financial records
  • Experience with bank and account reconciliations; exposure to general ledger and month-end accounting preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Experience with accounting or property management software; experience with Yardi, OneSite, Timberline, or similar systems is a plus
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Accounting team, property management teams, and other members of the corporate office
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential financial and business information
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable from receipt of invoice through payment, including coding, obtaining approvals, and entering invoices into the accounting system
  • Process employee expense reports, verifying appropriate documentation and coding
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and vendor records
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Assist with accounts receivable and cash management activities
  • Perform and assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Support monthly and year-end closing activities
  • Assist with property-level accounting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and data research
  • Gather and prepare documentation for audits, tax filings, and other compliance activities
  • Assist the Controller and Accounting team with special projects, projections, and process improvements
  • Provide front desk coverage during scheduled work hours, including greeting visitors and responding to general inquiries
  • Receive and coordinate incoming mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Monitor office and kitchen supplies and coordinate ordering and restocking as needed
  • Assist with general office organization and day-to-day administrative needs
  • Provide support for corporate meetings, events, and other office activities as needed
  • Provide administrative support to other corporate departments as needed

We are looking for a Part-Time Accounting Associate to join our corporate team in Woburn, Massachusetts. This position is ideal for an accounting professional looking for a part-time schedule and the opportunity to broaden their experience within a growing real estate organization. The Accounting Associate will provide day-to-day support to the Accounting team, with a focus on accounts payable and general accounting responsibilities, while also supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of our corporate office. The position will work closely with the Controller and Accounting team and offers the opportunity to take on additional property accounting responsibilities over time. As Panther continues to grow, this position has the potential to expand in both hours and responsibilities based on business needs and the individual's experience and development.
What You'll Do
Accounting
