Job summary

HB NEXT is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate in Lawrenceville, GA to own accounts payable and support month-end close, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations. You will work with the Accounting Manager, CFO, and senior leadership to gain broad exposure across the accounting cycle and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of debits and credits, accruals, and basic financial statements.
• Working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines during close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and recurring monthly entries, in Sage Intacct.
• Process and code vendor invoices in Bill.com.
• Prepare weekly AP payment runs and maintain the AP aging.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Review employee expense reports and credit card transactions for proper coding.
