Job summary

SMArtX Advisory Solutions is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our West Palm Beach accounting team. The role focuses on reconciliations, AP/AR, GL maintenance, financial reporting, and audit support, with emphasis on accuracy amid large datasets.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of accounting experience and a strong Excel background, with CPA candidacy viewed favorably. This on-site position offers growth within a fintech environment and cross-functional collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or similar financial operations experience.
• CPA candidacy or progress toward CPA licensure is a plus.
• Experienced bookkeepers without a four-year accounting degree are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Own bank and credit card reconciliations from start to finish.
• Prepare and manage revenue and expense invoices, bills, and payment processing.
• Maintain and analyze General Ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
• Manage reconciliation workflows and independently research and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and other periodic accounting activities.
• Assist with internal and external audits and serve as a key resource for documentation and record requests.
• Use Excel and other financial tools to analyze large datasets, improve reporting accuracy, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Partner with internal departments to respond to finance- and accounting-related questions and requests.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as assigned.
