Capital One is seeking an Associate in Accounting for the Commercial Controllers group. The role supports FINRA/SEC regulated Broker Dealers, performing journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closes, while driving process improvements and automation projects.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in accounting or finance. Strong relationship-building with business partners and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; at least 1 year of accounting/finance experience.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SEC/regulatory reporting and automation projects is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Perform month-end close and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and interface with Enterprise Supplier Management.
• Prepare and present analytics for leadership across lines of business, Accounting and Finance.
• Support quarterly SEC and regulatory reporting and other ad hoc requests.
• Interact with Finance, partners, auditors and the controller's group.
• Participate in project initiatives and automation efforts.
• Identify and drive process efficiencies.
• Aim to obtain Series 99 license within one year.
