Capital One in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Accounting Associate to support FINRA/SEC regulated broker-dealer accounting processes. You will prepare journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and assist in regulatory reporting while partnering with Finance and business leaders.

This role emphasizes process improvement, automation, and timely closing; candidates should be able to manage priorities, build relationships, and pursue the Series license within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, securities or related area.

Responsabilités

• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Perform month end closing and financial reporting processes timely and accurately.
• Manage accounts payable for business and interface with Enterprise Supplier Management.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and other ad hoc analytics for line of business, Accounting, and Finance leadership.
• Support quarterly SEC and Regulatory Reporting as well as other ad hoc reporting requests.
• Interact directly with Finance and key business partners, associates throughout the controller’s group, tax, and external and internal auditors.
• Participate in challenging project initiatives with the team.
• Support automation and data transformation efforts.
• Identify and drive process efficiencies.
• Ability to obtain Series 99 license within one year of joining the team
