Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Accounting Associate for our Miami, FL facility to maintain accounting records and generate timely reports in accordance with GAAP.

The role involves posting to the general ledger, processing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll and month-end closings, and supporting administrative tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at 3500 NW 110th Street, Miami, FL 33167.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school diploma is required.
• 1+ year experience in accounting, payroll, and/or accounts payable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Post entries to the general ledger and balance accounts.
• Process accounts payable transactions and batch payments.
• Post and collect accounts receivable; adjust as needed.
• Support weekly payroll processing.
• Assist with month-end closings for the plant.
• Maintain payroll and accounting files and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support and handle filings as directed.
• Respond to corporate requests and maintain follow-up system.
