The Creedmoor, NC site hosts a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Firstmark, Twin Commander, and Metro Merlin. With over 1,700 employees across four time zones and nine sites, Ontic has more than doubled in size since 2019 and continues to grow at pace. Ontic is recruiting for a driven and collaborative Accounting Associate for Accounts Receivable. The candidate will report to the Finance Controller and work onsite in Creedmoor, NC.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferable.
• 2+ years accounting experience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.).
• High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Willing and able to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Solid analytical thinking skills and creative, resourceful problem‑solving competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily customer invoicing.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Monitor customer accounts receivable balances on a regular basis to ensure accounts are current; contact customers to collect on past‑due accounts.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to billing, short payments, overpayments, credit memos, etc.
• Perform entry and reconciliation of G/L accounts for Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with General Ledger journal entries.
• Assist with weekly check runs, monitoring of emails for payables/receivables, etc. as needed.
• Perform administrative and office support activities for various departments within the organization.

Compensation

Pay range $23-28 per hour, based on experience.
