Job summary

Corporate Resources of Illinois is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Elk Grove Village team to support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, reporting to the Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on accounting experience.

The role handles AP/AR processing, reconciliations, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. A degree in accounting or relevant experience is required; 6 months to 3+ years in accounting, and solid

• Degree in Accounting OR relevant accounting experience.
• 6 months - 3+ years of accounting experience (internships will be considered).
• Comfortable working with numbers and large amounts of detailed information.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organized with good time-management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter Accounts Payable invoices and ensure payments are made within applicable terms.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable, including posting and applying customer payments.
• Review invoices, payments, and account information for accuracy.
• Assist with account and bank reconciliations.
• Process ACH, check, wire, and other payments as needed.
• Research and resolve invoice and account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end accounting activities.
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and accounting reports.
• Enter and update financial information in the accounting system.

We are looking to add an Accounting Associate to our team to support our day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build on their experience or a recent graduate looking to put their education and internship experience into practice.
