Job description

The Accounting Associate is responsible for the daily entry of financial transactions into the accounting software. They will also:

1. Perform Accounts Payable functions, including processing invoices and payments.
2. Ensure all invoices have proper G/L coding and follow established approval guidelines.
3. Maintain accounting records and support the Finance Team.
4. Enter credit card charges into the software and reconcile credit card statements.
5. Assist with the monthly close process, including preparing reconciliation reports and research.
6. Assist with audits by independent auditors, government agencies, etc., including preparing documentation and schedules.
7. Help implement internal controls, streamline processes, and create best practices.
8. Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as needed.
9. Liaise with internal staff at all levels.
