3North, a multidisciplinary design studio headquartered in Richmond, VA, seeks an Accounting Associate to support billing, AR/AP, and financial reporting in a fast-paced studio environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration across architecture, interiors, landscape, and graphic design teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in the AEC industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software.
• Familiarity with Ajera, Deltek, and QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
• Assist with client invoicing and project billing.

• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and certificates of insurance.
• Enter and maintain accurate accounting records within accounting systems.
• Provide administrative support to the Accounting and Operations teams.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to support the financial and administrative operations of our practice. This role supports project billing, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and general accounting functions within a fast-paced, project-driven studio environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments
• Assist with client invoicing and project billing
