Job summary

Talos seeks an Accounting Associate to join its Financial Operations team in a hybrid environment. The role supports core accounting processes, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations while building expertise in a dynamic digital assets and financial services setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and strong Excel skills. CPA progress is preferred, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles.
• Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments.
• Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive approach.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting/finance ERP (SAGE) systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with US GAAP
• Support treasury activities as needed
• Assist in preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests
• Support system implementations and upgrades, including accounting and finance ERPs

Accounting Associate

This is a hands-on role supporting core accounting processes, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. The position is well-suited to someone looking to build and deepen their accounting expertise while contributing to a dynamic digital assets and financial services environment.
