Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking an Accounting Associate to perform payroll-related administrative and data-entry duties within the Payroll Department. You will process transactions across payroll and time systems, ensure accurate reporting, and support testing under the US payroll lead.

The role is hybrid with responsibilities including system administration, report analysis, garnishments, and year-end tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience.
• Two accounting classes (six credits) required.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll-related mail: review, distribution, processing.
• Handle system administration tasks: access requests, time-entry setup, new user IDs.
• Run and analyze payroll reports, including high/low, daily error checks.
• Process garnishments and refund checks.
• Respond to payroll and time inquiries and cases.
• Review and process pay, tax, and changes for certain employee populations.
• Identify and resolve payroll errors (bank rejections, replication errors).
• Monitor and collect employee overpayments.
• Manage employee bank accounts in HCM/HRIS.
• Support year-end tasks: calendars, carryovers, communications.

About the role:

As an Accounting Associate you will perform a full range of administrative, data entry, payroll analysis and time system responsibilities to support processes and systems within the Westinghouse Payroll Department. Duties will include routine transactional processing within all modules of all Payroll & Time Systems. Process documents and transactions for accurate accounting and reporting of all payroll information. Identify basic issues by using questioning attitude and assist with testing. You will report to the US Payroll Lead and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA site. Hybrid Work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support management of payroll related mail including review, distribution, and processing.

• Run and analyze payroll reports, including high/low, daily error.
• Process garnishment orders and refund checks
• Respond to payroll and time inquiries and cases.

• Support year-end related tasks, including holiday and payroll calendars, carryovers, and communications.

Qualifications:

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40,057 to $64,295 per year.
