Responsibilities

• Assist with QuickBooks journal entries as needed.

• Manage vendor bill-pay including invoice approval levels and expense categorization.
• Data entry on Company ERP software.
• Help manage vehicle registrations.
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.

Job description

C.J. Shaughnessy Crane Service is looking for a detail-oriented, critical thinking Accounting Associate to join our Team and support in-house finance and accounting functions.

The Accounting Associate will support key functions including bookkeeping (Quickbooks), AR/collections, payables, and other administrative duties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another Business field is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
• Experience with Quickbooks Online
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
• Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including customers
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills
• Affinity for being organized

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with Quickbooks journal entries as needed
• Review AR Aging and perform collections emails and calls
• Review statements from customers and ensure AP is accurate/up to date
• Help manage vendor Bill Pay platform including setting up invoice approval levels, determining expense categories for accounting purposes, and uploading/matching invoice packing slips
• Perform data entry on Company ERP software
• Help manage vehicle registrations
• Performs other duties as assigned or required. This position will require administrative tasks such as mailing invoices/statements, filing invoices, bills, etc.
