The Accounting Associate position supports accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, including daily, weekly, and monthly duties and special projects related to larger departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
- General ledger maintenance, including reconciliations, entries, and accruals.
- Assist with tax compliance and accounts payable.
- Streamline AP vendor invoices using document capture and OCR software.
- Provide accounting support to multiple branch locations.
- Maintain electronic records and files.
- Support month‑end closing activities.
- Assist with ad‑hoc accounting projects.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting, finance, or corporate department.
- Strong understanding of processes, waste elimination, and delivering excellent customer experience for internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think quickly and solve problems.
- High proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Experience with CDK IntelliDealer, SAP, or Oracle is a plus.
- Background check and pre‑employment drug testing required.
