Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) invites applications for a regular, on-site Accounting faculty member for a Spring 2027 start in Santa Fe, NM. The role teaches up to 15 pay hours per semester, totaling 30 pay hours per year, and includes designing course assignments, grading, and student advisement in Accounting.

The candidate will maintain office hours, mentor adjunct faculty, participate in committees, and engage with local businesses to foster career pathways and internships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or related field with at least 18 graduate credits in Accounting; or a Graduate Degree and a CPA with 5 years experience in Accounting.
• Five (5) years’ experience in an Accounting related field, including two (2) years of teaching experience in a post-secondary setting.

Responsibilities

• Teaches up to 15 pay hours each semester (fall and spring semesters). 30 pay hours per year.
• Provides classroom and online instruction in Accounting and develops course syllabi.
• Advises students concerning academic achievement and learning goals; assists students with enrollment and navigating systems.
• Mentors and observes faculty; participates in curriculum development and college committees.
