Job summary

Aerolab Inc in Jessup, MD is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the CFO with accounts payable, invoice processing, and general financial operations. In this role you will assist in handling bills and ensuring timely payments while supporting the Finance and Operations teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in Excel and QuickBooks Online, and able to collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks Online.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Google G Suite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and research skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Account Payable processing
• Match and code invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation
• Assist with weekly AP check runs
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with vendors, communicates via phone and email
• Process sales and use tax returns
• Perform related office tasks
• Assist in providing general administrative support to other departments, including travel logistics, general office management, scheduling, meeting coordination, and document preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned
