Job summary

AeroFlow Technologies LLC in Middletown, CT seeks a Staff Accountant to manage journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and assist month‑end close in a high‑growth manufacturing environment. You’ll collaborate with department leads to verify budgets and actuals.

You’ll need 3+ years in manufacturing accounting, a bachelor’s in accounting or finance (CPA preferred), strong GAAP, and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) with advanced Excel, plus a willingness to participate in system upgrades

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 3+ years accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.
• ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) with advanced Excel; Hyperion/EPICOR a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, intercompany, etc.).
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, variance analyses, and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Collaborate with department leads to verify budget vs. actual results.
• Process and code vendor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Ensure timely payment runs and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations (cash, GL control accounts, fixed assets).
• Investigate and clear reconciling items.
• Ensure adherence to SOX controls and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Participate in system implementations or upgrades as needed.
