Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support accounting and administrative functions, including invoicing, receivables, accounts payable, and PO/invoice matching. Strong attention to detail, organization, and Excel skills are essential for success in this role.

Under supervision, you will work with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, with core hours from 7:00am–4:00pm CST or 9:00am–6:00pm CST.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience in the construction industry (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Generate invoices and payment applications.
  • Monitor and collect outstanding receivables.
  • Administer the company credit card program.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and match invoices to open purchase orders.

Under supervision, the Accounting Assistant performs a variety of accounting and administrative functions. Responsibilities include generating invoices and payment applications, monitoring and collecting outstanding receivables, administering the company credit card program, processing accounts payable transactions, and matching invoices to open purchase orders. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
