Job summary

Back Market, a global marketplace for refurbished devices, is hiring an Accountant Apprentice in Paris. You will gain hands-on exposure to accounts payable, monthly closings, and financial tools in a fast-paced, international environment.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will own accounts payable end-to-end, support monthly closings, and contribute to process improvements while enrolled in a French work-study program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a French work-study program (contrat d'alternance / apprentissage).
• Location Paris, France for an apprenticeship in accounting.
• Fluent English required with French at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable end-to-end — manage invoices, PO matching, supplier requests, conformity checks.
• Keep open orders in check — analyze outstanding POs and resolve timely.
• Be a key contributor to monthly closings — accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred costs.
• Manage auxiliary supplier accounts — reconcile and ensure accuracy.
• Champion the expense management tool — updates, postings, day-to-day ops.
• Drive continuous improvement — enhance processes for faster, smarter accounting.
