Job summary

TrueStone LLC in New York, NY is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support day-to-day accounting operations, AP/AR, and investor reporting with exposure to fund-level accounting. This role blends traditional accounting with private lending/investment fund operations and requires strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day work from home) and opportunities to work on capital calls, distributions, and treasury tasks while collaborating

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of core accounting principles (debits/credits, reconciliation, month-end close).
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with numbers and data analysis.
• Proficient with various software tools.
• Eager to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, invoices, and credits.
• Set up bills for payment and ensure they are processed on time.
• Enter and maintain transactions in QuickBooks.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements in QuickBooks.
• Assist with processing and calculating interest payments.
• Contribute to the month-end close process.
• Track capital calls and distributions to investors.
• Support investor communications and reporting.
• Maintain various accounting trackers.
• Assist the Controller with various ad hoc requests and treasury functions.
• Scan and file financial documents as needed.
