USG Insurance Services, a national wholesale broker and MGA, seeks an Accounting Analyst in the Tampa area for in‑office billing and accounts payable support. You will investigate inquiries from agencies, finance and sales, work with the CFO, and handle weekly collection reports and invoicing while ensuring timely payments and accuracy.

The role emphasizes strong Excel/Word skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Located near the Tampa, FL area.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficient with Windows-based software, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to type with reasonable speed.

Responsibilities

• Verify, reconcile and timely pay carrier, trade and state authority vendor invoices, statements, and account currents.
• Prepare and process checks, wire transfers and ACH payments.
• Sort and identify brokerage invoices to pay and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Identify and collect carrier debits owed to USG.
• Monitor and identify paid audits to invoice and pay carriers.
• Process branch invoicing discrepancies to align with carrier invoices.
• Prepare and distribute carrier account currents.
• Create and maintain carrier profiles.
• Scan and image invoices and statements.
• Provide cycle processing status to the AP Supervisor.
• Suggest process improvements to supervisor and CFO.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
