Job summary

MISO Default Brand is seeking an experienced accounting/finance professional to support market and transmission settlement processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will implement procedures, drive improvements, and ensure accurate payment and tax documentation while aligning with company policies.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience, at least 2 years of related work, and familiarity with Oracle and Concur Solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in accounting/finance.
• Familiar with electric utility industry accounting practices (preferred).
• Familiar with Oracle and Concur Solutions (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procedures to support market and transmission settlement.
• Identify improvements to settlement procedures and software for accuracy and efficiency.
• Navigate invoice verification, coding and processing per company policies.
• Ensure accurate issuance of year-end tax documents to suppliers.
• Manage travel and expense reimbursements.

• Navigate the steps of invoice verification, coding, and processing, and ensure alignment with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Independently ensuring accurate and efficient issuance of year-end tax documents to suppliers
• Manage travel and expense reimbursements

What we are looking for:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Preferably familiar with electric utility industry accounting practices.
• Familiarity with computer accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
• Preferably experienced with Concur Solutions.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $73,000-$98,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
