Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking an Accounting Analyst for our hedge fund client in Manhattan, NY. The role focuses on overseeing compensation accounting, contract lifecycle management, and close processes to support portfolio management activities.

The successful candidate will collaborate across finance, HR, legal, operations, and technology teams, and contribute to reporting and analyses to inform senior management decisions. 2+ years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of finance or accounting experience.
• Public or private accounting background preferred.
• Hedge fund experience in compensation accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio manager agreements throughout the full lifecycle, including contract review, onboarding, and compensation administration.
• Collaborate with investment, HR, legal, operations, technology, and business teams to support portfolio management activities.
• Prepare month-end close deliverables, financial reporting, and compensation calculations.
• Develop reporting and financial analyses to support senior management decision-making.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
