Job summary

Weaver's Accounting Advisory Services seeks a Managing Director to lead general accounting and financial advisory services for clients in a growing team. The role focuses on outsourced accounting, monthly financial reporting, and U.S. GAAP financial statements.

The candidate will build and manage a growing team, drive practice development, and mentor staff while upholding Weaver’s values and client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• 15+ years of experience in audit and/or accounting with at least 3 years in public accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting standards and GAAP.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook at an advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Provide general accounting and financial advisory services to clients.

With 75years of experience supporting finance teams and providing accounting and finance guidance for our clients, Weaver’s practice offers strategic guidance and special projectassistanceon a temporary or ongoing basis. We are seeking a Managing Directorto provide general accounting and financial advisory services to our clients. This person will play an integral role in expanding Weaver’s service offerings, specifically in outsourced accounting, monthly financialreportingand U.S. GAAP financial statements. The candidate will be responsibleto buildandmanagea growing team.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications arerequired:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountingorotherrelevant field
• 15+ years of experience in audit and/or accounting role with a minimum of 3 years ofexperience in public accounting
• Advanced knowledge of accounting standards
• Advancedproficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• Experience preparing financial statements using GAAP or other basis of accounting
• Knowledge of GAAP and standards related to compiled/reviewed financial statements
• Draft and/or reviewconsolidatedGAAP financial statements, work papers, footnotes, etc.
• Perform technical accounting research on complex transactions and prepare documentation outlining issues and conclusions
• Experience with Excel at an advanced level including understanding and ability to use pivot tables, V-Lookups, H-Lookups, If/then statements, etc.
• Demonstrated prior team supervision and management experience with team accountability
• Demonstrated expert of business development, strategy, and practice development
• Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
