Aprio is seeking a Manager to join our accounting advisory team within the office of the CFO practice, leading technical accounting and SEC financial reporting engagements for public registrants, IPO-track companies, and PE-backed businesses. In this role, you will serve as a primary advisor to controllers, CAOs, and CFOs, guiding clients through complex U.S.

GAAP questions and high-stakes SEC reporting deliverables with precision and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CPA license.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting or related work with SEC reporting.
• Experience applying U.S. GAAP with SEC reporting (10-Q/10-K) or IPO readiness.
• Ability to own a project end to end: planning, staffing, execution, review, delivery.
• Strong communication, detail-oriented, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel for client site visits and firm meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting engagements on ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 815, and ASC 480.
• Research complex U.S. GAAP questions and draft accounting position memos.
• Prepare and review Form 10-Q and 10-K, footnotes, and audit schedules.
• Support IPO, SPAC readiness, and related financial statements.
• Advise on purchase accounting and opening balance sheet prep.
• Support SOX/ICFR documentation and remediation.
• Own engagement scoping, budgeting, staffing, realization, and billing.
• Manage relationships with client controllers, CAOs, CFOs, and auditors.
