Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Manager to join our accounting advisory team within the office of the CFO practice, leading technical accounting and SEC reporting engagements for public registrants, IPO-track companies, and PE-backed businesses.

You will own engagements end to end, scoping, staffing, and client delivery, while developing team members and contributing to practice growth. This is a technically grounded CPA role at a high-growth, national advisory firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CPA license.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting or industry with SEC reporting or IPO readiness.
• Experience applying US GAAP and documenting complex accounting positions.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements end-to-end and work with clients.
• Willingness to travel for client site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting engagements (ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 815, ASC 480).
• Research complex US GAAP questions and draft memos.
• Prepare Form 10-Q and 10-K, footnotes, and related schedules.
• Support IPO readiness, SPAC/de-SPAC readiness, and related statements.
• Advise on purchase accounting and opening balance sheet prep.
• Assist with SOX/ICFR documentation and remediation.
