Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking an Accounting Administrator, classified as Administrator III, to ensure accurate financial processing and compliance with federal and state requirements. You will support OIM, DTR, and CTE programs, driving proper validation of invoices and funding allocations.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement after training, with occasional in-state travel and opportunities for professional development through PERA retirement plans and paid leave

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience with accounting, business analysis, budget analysis or finance.
• Education and experience combination may qualify for the minimum requirement.
• College transcripts or foreign credential evaluation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting expertise in invoice approval for OIM grant projects (DTR/CTE).
• Ensure invoices are processed with proper authorization and timing.
• Determine breakdown of reimbursement amounts and validate calculations.
• Apply funding strings and correct financial coding to transactions.
• Assist with year-end procedures and audit requests.
