Job summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for the Accounting department. Under general supervision, the instructor will prepare lesson plans, evaluate student progress, and ensure alignment with student learning outcomes.

This position is part-time/exempt and may require travel within the service area. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Accounting (or with a teaching concentration) and strong teaching credentials.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
• Master’s Degree with concentration in accounting teaching (18 graduate hours or 27 graduate quarter hours).
• CPA Certification preferred.
• College-level teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers effective classroom instruction to students in the Accounting department.
• Ensures compliance with college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following procedures.
• Selects and obtains appropriate educational materials for courses.
• Ensures consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and other course work.
• Assists with the design and execution of special events and activities as requested.
• Maintains high level of effort and responsible conduct in work.
