Job summary

Aiken Technical College is seeking Accounting Adjunct Instructors to join our team. Class schedules will vary each semester and may meet in the daytime, evenings, weekends, or online.

Faculty may be asked to work a split schedule (morning and evening classes) and teach dual enrollment courses in assigned high schools. Duties include hands-on and theory instruction, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or 18 graduate hours in Accounting.
• Experience preparing syllabi and course materials.
• Ability to teach both hands-on and theoretical content.

Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.
