Job summary

Dough Zone USA seeks a Staff Accountant to support the accounting operations for a growing restaurant chain with multiple locations. The role involves data entry, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

On-site work at our Bellevue, WA location is required. Responsibilities include financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, expense management, bank reconciliations, and assisting with tax compliance and audits.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., R365).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger and perform reconciliations.
• Owns accounts payable for over 500 invoices per month across multiple stores.
• Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist in financial analysis and budget variance reporting.
• Assist in tax return preparation and compliance.
• Support external auditors during annual audit.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting operations of a rapidly

growing restaurant chain with multiple locations across California, Texas, Oregon, and Seattle.

This position will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper classification of transactions.
• Accounts Payable: Owning over 500 Invoices per month supporting multiple stores.
• Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses to identify trends and areas for cost savings. Work closely with management to develop and implement expense control measures.
• Bank Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons. Provide insights to management to support decision-making.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Audit Support: Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide documentation and explanations as needed.

Qualifications:

Work Requirement

• Must be able to work 100% on-site at our Bellevue, WA location.
• Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000
