Job summary

Bally's Lincoln Casino Resort in Rhode Island is seeking a Jr. Staff Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare and enter journal entries into Oracle, perform month-end close tasks, and reconcile general ledger accounts, collaborating with other departments.

The role supports internal controls, processes improvements, and handling W-2G forms while gaining cross-training with other staff accountants in a dynamic casino environment.

Qualifications

• One to three years of office experience with general ledger software.
• Proficiency with Excel and basic accounting software.

Jump into the role Bally's is looking for Jr. Staff Accountants for our growing team! General duties would include creating journal entries and posting them to the general ledger, reconciling accounts and performing other accounting functions.

About the role

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries into Oracle accounting program
• Perform month end tasks for closing
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Interact with various other departments within the Casino
• Cross train with other staff accountants
• Document and improve internal controls and processes
• Process all W-2G forms
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a climate- controlled environment, either alone or with others
• Exposure to paper and/or dust particles
• Subject to outdoor temperatures
• Exposed to smoke, bright lights, and noise
• Operation of various machines and equipment including, but not limited to, shredders, copiers, laminating and binding machines and computer equipment

• Occasionally walk, reach, and lift in the use of the photocopy machine
• Occasionally reach, bend, and lift boxes weighing up to 20lbs.
• Constantly attend to details, sit, talk, hear, reach, eye/hand coordination, hand and wrist motion and manual dexterity in writing and in the use of telephone, 10-key calculator keypad and computer keyboard
• Must be able to communicate well with others and work as a team
• Must be organized, detail oriented and able to work with little supervision
• Must be proficient with various computer programs including Excel
• Must be able to use general office equipment (fax, personal computer, and telephone)
• Must have one to three years of experience in an office environment and working with general ledger software.
