This position involves a wide range of accounting tasks requiring critical thinking, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, tax laws, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines. Responsibilities may include system implementations, audits, and reporting. The Senior Accountant will plan and coordinate complex accounting activities.

Requirements:

• Must currently reside in WA, OR, AK, or be willing to relocate by the date of hire.
• Experience with Washington B&O tax and ASC 842 Lease Accounting is preferred.

Details of the Position:

• Review journal entries and reconciliation files for accuracy and standardization.
• Perform complex month-end and year-end processing calculations.
• Handle high-level accounting assignments, including audit, tax, software projects, and process improvements.
• Produce and analyze financial statements, providing narratives on financial results.
• Assist in staff training on systems and processes.
• Enhance software functionality and process efficiencies.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve system-related issues.
• Document processes for all general ledger and accounting functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or financial auditing; healthcare experience and project management are a plus.
• CPA certification required within 12 months.
