Delta Industries, Inc. is a trusted regional construction materials supplier. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to add to our accounting and finance team.

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for performing Accounting, Inventory Cost Accounting, General Ledger and/or Fixed Asset functions with a high level of discretion and independent judgement. They will be involved in a variety of tasks including maintenance of accounting databases, preparation of financial statements and reports, and assisting with the year-end financial audit.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with government regulations & GAAP standards.
  • Conduct monthly state sales tax reports and process payments.
  • Oversee and handle General Ledger & Fixed Asset operations with minimal oversight, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Execute timely month-end close processes including revenue cycle, purchasing cycle with accruals, fixed assets, fleet reporting and compliance, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Conduct additional analysis and accounting research as needed
  • Maintain reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and selected expense accounts.
  • Draft and recommend accounting entries as needed.
  • Assist with the year-end financial audit.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in financial and budgeting reporting.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3- 6 years of progressive public and corporate accounting experience, with emphasis on General Ledger & Fixed Assets accounting
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficiency working with accounting software and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with financial modeling
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive approach to work in a team environment
  • Background check required.
  • CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
