COUNTRY Financial is offering a two-year Controllers Rotational Program designed to build cross‑functional accounting and finance experience. You will participate in a structured journey across accounting disciplines, performing core activities and supporting process improvements while learning how a leading insurance organization operates.

• Identifies and maintains effective internal controls and supports compliance with policies and regulations.
• Contributes to special projects, system implementations, and process improvements.
• Prepares and delivers presentations and project updates to management.

Over a structured two‑year journey, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business initiatives, and develop expertise in financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and insurance finance. This role can expect to perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with defined controls, standards, and regulations. You can also expect to compile and analyze financial information, and contribute to meaningful process improvements.

How does this role make an impact?

• Prepares, analyzes, and reconciles financial transactions, account balances, and supporting schedules in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Completes month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Analyzes financial data and accounting records to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Identifies, implements, and maintains effective internal controls and supports compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Contributes to special projects, system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and other departmental priorities.
• Prepares and delivers presentations and project updates to management and stakeholders.
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information and exercises sound professional judgment in performing assigned responsibilities.

Base Pay Range: $54,800-$75,350 The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay: In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.

Location & Work Arrangement

Country Financial is headquartered in Bloomington, IL and offers hybrid, onsite and remote opportunities. If you're based at our Bloomington, IL corporate office, you'll enjoy a hybrid work schedule - three days in the office and two days working remotely. For roles posted as remote, candidates who live more than 50 miles from Bloomington, IL may qualify for a fully remote arrangement.
