Job summary

Credit Union of Colorado is seeking an experienced staff accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

You will prepare payroll entries, assist with accounts payable, fixed assets, and audits, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate data for leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least two years of accounting or auditing experience.
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles and analyzes general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations.
• Prepares payroll journal entries and payroll-related reconciliations.
• Assists with month-end close, journal entries, and variance explanations.
• Supports accounts payable reviews and payment processing.
• Maintains financial records and prepares statements for the Foundation.
