Jobot is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Palm Beach Gardens office of a well-established law firm. You will support accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, and serve as payroll backup.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, 5+ years in the legal industry, and proficiency in Aderant Expert and advanced Excel. This full-time, on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to contribute to firm-wide financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
• 5+ years of legal industry experience, preferably at a mid-sized or large law firm
• 3+ years of law office billing experience
• Proficiency in Aderant Expert (1+ year required)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and law firm accounting practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Payroll backup experience

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity and month-end close
• Prepare accurate financial reports and analysis for firm leadership
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and law firm accounting practices
• Serve as backup for payroll processing and support payroll operations as needed
• Manage accounting and billing workflows within Aderant Expert
• Handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
• Work closely with and report to the Finance Manager
