Qualifications

• Bilingual in Korean and English is required, both written and verbal.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Balance Sheet and P&L statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform daily accounting activities using QuickBooks Online (AP/AR, cash, invoicing).
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions with parent and affiliates.
• Apply US GAAP/ASC 606 to revenue across channels.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow, banking, and reconciliations.

A fast-growing global company in the biotech, healthcare, medical aesthetics, and skincare industry is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its U.S. Finance team.
The company is expanding its presence across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America through B2B, DTC, retail, e-commerce, and marketplace channels.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable taking ownership of financial reporting and working independently in a fast-paced, growing organization.

The Accountant will have primary responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the company’s Balance Sheet (BS) and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
The position will manage daily accounting operations, month-end close, treasury and cash reconciliations, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and intercompany transactions.
The role will also communicate regularly with the company’s headquarters in Korea. Therefore, business-level fluency in both Korean and English is required.

Job Description

• Take ownership of Balance Sheet and P&L statements, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Perform hands-on daily accounting activities, including AP, AR, cash transactions, vendor invoices, and customer billing using QuickBooks Online.
• Independently manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions with the parent company and affiliated entities.
• Apply US GAAP and ASC 606 requirements for revenue recognition across multiple sales channels.
• Review and verify inventory accounting and maintain accurate COGS and inventory records across warehouse operations.
• Manage treasury activities, cash-flow monitoring, banking transactions, and cash/bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data.
• Support accounting system improvements and potential ERP/system transition projects.
• Communicate and coordinate with U.S. management, Korea HQ, and other internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive professional accounting experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, treasury management, and inventory accounting.
• Experience independently managing financial statements and month-end close.
• Business-level Korean and English proficiency required, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP ERP.
• Experience transitioning accounting systems from QuickBooks to SAP.
• Accounting experience within consumer products, e-commerce, healthcare, biotech, beauty, or other inventory-based businesses.
