Job summary

USP Holdings in Washington DC is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes using QuickBooks Online and ADP, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, with 3–5 years of accounting experience and strong Excel skills. This role reports to the Finance Manager and is an in-office, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Generate financial reports and statements to support management decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
• General knowledge of payroll.
• Utilize advanced Excel to analyze financial data and create reports.
• Automate data processes and create macros to streamline financial reporting.
