Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm seeks an Accountant III to support the Accounting Operations Support and Oversight team. The role focuses on the Texas Identification Number System (TINs), assisting with vendor data and 1099 tax forms, and ensuring accurate daily review of financial reports for timely corrections.

The position uploads payment and vendor data into multiple databases, sets up TINs for vendors and employees, and drafts automated reports to support government accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounting principles and procedures; government accounting preferred.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in basic accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and functional support to projects using knowledge of the assigned area.
• Gathers and analyzes financial data for reporting purposes.
• Communicates complex information internally and externally to resolve issues and provide guidance.
• Assist in analysis of business processes to improve operations.
