Job summary

Lockheed Martin seeks an Accountant – Level 2 to support the Derco Accounting Team in Orlando. You will manage customer rebates, supplier royalties, travel reimbursements, and month-end journal entries, while assisting in intercompany reconciliations and internal controls.

The role requires a degree in accounting and 1+ year experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. A proactive, communicative, process-improvement mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited school.
• 1+ years of experience working in accounting.
• MS Office experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting.
• Robust analytical skills.
• Self-starter and shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis.
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Quick Learner with aptitude for various systems and processes.
• Prior experience with IFS, our enterprise resource planning system.

Responsibilities

• Owner of all accounting activities related to Customer Rebates and Supplier Royalty payments.
• Validate and record travel expense reimbursements through Concur.
• Prepare and book month-end journal entries including intercompany reconciliations and related entries.
• Support accounts payable activities including backup entry of invoices and supplier credits.
• Prepare account reconciliations for medium and low risk accounts and analyze results.
• Assist with reporting for foreign tax packages, government reporting, real estate data requests, etc.
• Backup for fixed asset accounting activities.
• Support internal control activities and annual walkthroughs.
