Job summary

JCCS PC in Helena, MT is seeking an Accountant II to assist in engagements, year-end compilations, and audits under supervision. You will prepare reports, analyze data, and help ensure accuracy and compliance for clients across industries.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, client service, teamwork and professional growth, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Public accounting experience and/or internship preferred.
• Meets Montana Board requirements to sit for CPA examination (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information related to clients, staff, and firm operations.
• Prepares compilation reports for year-end, ready for tax preparation, prior to review.
• Assists with audits under the close supervision of senior staff.
• Generates data entry for monthly and quarterly accounting and financial statements, including 1099 processing.
• Complies with IRS, state and federal tax requirements and wage-hour regulations.
• Builds relationships with clients with integrity and honesty.
• May help provide transactional support for CAS team and coordinate service delivery.
• Begins to develop marketing contacts for new clients and services.
