Job summary

JCCS PC is seeking an Accountant II to support tax and accounting functions in our Montana practice. The role involves assisting with tax returns, year-end closings, and client data processing, while coordinating with senior staff to meet deadlines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting, has basic public accounting exposure, and demonstrates strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Meets Montana State Board of Public Accountant’s requirements to sit for the CPA examination, preferred.
• Public accounting experience and/or internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax returns and year-end compilations.
• Prepare payroll data and quarterly payroll reports.
• Generate monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IRS and state requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and client relationships.
