Job summary

JCCS in Montana is seeking an Accountant II to assist with engagements, year-end compilations, audits and other accounting projects. You will prepare compilation reports, support audits, and manage monthly/quarterly data, ensuring tax compliance and timely delivery.

Strong client service and confidentiality are essential. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and are pursuing CPA eligibility; prior public accounting or internship experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Meets the Montana State Board of Public Accountant’s requirements to sit for the CPA examination, preferred.
• Public accounting experience and/or internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engagements, year-end compilations, audits, and other accounting projects.
• Prepare compilation reports for year-end, ready for tax preparation, prior to review.
• Assist with audits under close supervision of senior staff.
• Process monthly and quarterly accounting data and distribute 1099s at year end.
• Ensure compliance with IRS, state and federal tax requirements and regulations.
• Build relationships with clients and maintain confidentiality.
• Develop marketing contacts and coordinate delivery of services.
• Support CAS team and other duties as assigned.
