Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Accountant 2 to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Under limited supervision, you will perform moderately complex accounting tasks and contribute to the organization’s financial accuracy and efficiency. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 4 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA is a preferred qualification but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4 years relevant accounting experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: None.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
• Establishing and maintaining accounting policies and fiscal controls; preparing financial reports.
• Assisting budgeting and financial reporting for improved performance and efficiency.
• Collaborating with department leaders on variances from budget/actual.
• Providing technical direction to other staff and support to external auditors.
• Leading build-out/implementation of new financial systems and processes.
• Processing daily transactions for member accounts and posting timely.
• Assisting with month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
• Preparing work papers and reports for annual financial statement audit.
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
