Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Idaho is hiring an Accountant 2 to provide support to more experienced staff by handling moderately complex accounting assignments.

The role involves forecasting, budgeting, analyzing variances, establishing accounting policies, and preparing financial reports. You will assist with month-end close, collaborate with internal teams, and support audits and system enhancements. A bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variances from budget.
• Establishing and maintaining accounting policies and fiscal controls and preparing financial reports.
• Assists with budgeting and financial reporting process for improving financial performance and efficiency.
• Assists department leaders on variances from budget/actual.
• Provides functional and technical direction to other staff members.
• Supports and helps lead build-out and implementation of new financial systems and processes.
• Process daily transactions for member accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
• Assist with month end journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepares work papers and reports for annual financial statement audit.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

4 years relevant experience

CPA (preferred)
