Cumberland Farms, Inc. is seeking an Accountant II to join the EG America Finance team in Westborough, MA. The role covers journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closings, with opportunities for cross-functional work and project involvement.
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and 2–4 years of financial accounting experience; retail industry exposure and strong Excel skills are preferred. Office-based, Monday–Friday, in our Westborough facility.

The Accountant II will be a key member of the EG America Finance team. This role will be responsible for accounting activities within the designated Finance team. General duties may include (but are not limited to) preparation of journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing account balance fluctuations, and complete monthly closing duties. Other duties as designated by the supervising manager and may include project related work, data gathering and manipulation activities.
The above responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with documented company policies and procedures. All of the above will be accomplished collaboratively but will also provide opportunities for independent decision making.
This position will work closely with all Finance Teams and other key business segments/cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Fuel, IT and Store Operations.
Bachelor’s Degree
Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting
2-4 years of Financial accounting experience
Retail industry experience, strong practical knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft applications; basic understanding and application of U.S. GAAP or IFRS; experience with Oracle ERP and reporting tools; strong Analytical and problem-solving skills; Experience with the PDI system is a plus.
Travel:No travel required
Monday – Friday 8 hour day in office setting
Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time. Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
